◆ The challenge
What we
walked into.
A neighbourhood tank in Greater Chennai had lost its ecological function — polluted inflow, low DO, floating waste, and a public-health risk to surrounding wards. The Corporation needed a chemical-free intervention that could run alongside daily community use.
◆ Before · After
The shift, in one frame.

Baseline
Polluted inflow · low DO · odour complaints

Outcome state
Compliant tank · clear surface · community-safe
◆ Our approach
Calibrated,
not generic.
- 01
MIW Bacillus consortium dosing
A Chennai-specific Bacillus consortium is dosed across the tank, targeting the sewage-loaded inflow first and expanding to the open-water zones as bacterial activity rises.
- 02
Bio-augmented aerobic recovery
The consortium accelerates aerobic degradation of organic load, drops H₂S and ammonia, and clears the surface so ambient re-aeration can hold the recovery.
- 03
Before / after photo dossier + CD
Per Corporation protocol we submit a full pre-work and post-work photo dossier with a CD and third-party water-quality analysis, endorsed by the ward Assistant Engineer.
◆ Outcome
The tank returned to a compliant, usable neighbourhood asset: sewage-derived load pulled down, odour eliminated, and floating algal cover cleared — verified through the Corporation's before/after dossier and independent water-quality testing.
